Saint Ambrose, the Bishop of Milan from 374-397 AD, was revered in life and death for his sharp wit and even sharper pen. His writings on theology, notably his staunch opposition to Arianism and paganism, helped to stabilize and unify the early Church, which had only become legal in the Roman Empire shortly before his birth. As one who shares his love of music, theology, and his home of Milan (then called Mediolanum), I dedicate this blog to my Patron, Sant'Ambrogio di Milano!
